Hello Design Friends!
This week, there’s a copper/rose gold theme that seems to be happening…
For “3 Days of Design” in Copenhagen, local Danish company Vipp collaborated with Paris-based Studio Ko to create a show stopping pop-up. Loved the juxtaposition of the charred wood exterior with the gleaming warmth of copper.

This one is also a collaboration of creatives. The detail below is from a copper kitchen, with select door/drawer fronts made out of carved wood by the artist Caleb Woodard, adding an organic and natural element.

Design mommy and daddy (Robin Standefer and Stephen Alesch of Roman & Williams) are on a press tour for a new project they are doing for New York’s Breuer Museum. I remember they did all copper accents for their designs in the Fitzroy.

A touch of surprise & delight with these playful escutcheons from K&H Design in the UK.

In university, I remember one of the first projects that the product design students had to do was to create eating utensils, an exercise in utility and beauty. Below, some gorgeous copper spoons from Japanese artist Yumi Nakamura.
