Hi design friends!


On the heels of Peter's recent trip to France (details coming soon on the blog - stay tuned!), I'm taking you on a virtual trip abroad for some design inspiration.

  1. Starting off in Switzerland at a Michelin-rated chef's home kitchen. The ceiling is doing a lot to bring this traditional design to 2025. I know the black outlet on the island is driving you all crazy. 😆

  1. Looking to the Netherlands for this. Notice the reeded toekick, the "slim shaker" door, the counter edge, and the shapely backsplash! Trasitional 2.0! But, the black outlet strikes again...

  1. Then we're off to Antwerp in Belgium where a bold green stone counter receives a reversed bevel edge detail, and we see a modern take on marquetry. Finally, a more integrated and considered outlet design...

  2. Shall we stop by Italy? Why not. Eggersmann debuted their new outdoor line called Cubic at Salone 2025.

  1. Last stop: Australia! An updated Shaker-style door with a soft radius feels nice in a painted finish. I'm really all about that stone toekick, though. How did they do that?! Incredible!

I traveled with my teenage daughter and wanted our trip to be both educational and enjoyable. Marrakech is rich in history, but it can also be chaotic if you don’t know how to move through it.
